- 1 egg yolk
- 1 cup sour cream
- ½ cup milk
- 3 tbsp butter, melted
- 1 cup flour
- 2 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp baking soda
- 1 egg white, stiffly beaten

1. Prehead Waffle Maker. |
2. Using a metal mixing bowl, beat egg white until stiff. |
3. Put all ingredients except egg white in a large mixer bowl. |
4. Beat on low until moistened. Increase to medium, mix until smooth. |
5. By hand, gently fold in beaten egg white. It is easiest to use a rubber spatula to do the folding of the egg white with the mixture. |
6. Pour a rounded 1/2 cup (125 mL) of batter over grids. Close waffle maker, bake until golded, 2 1/2 - 3 minutes. Repeat |
7. Serve with warmed syrup. |
